For 2020 International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, the Dimapur Police took a trip down memory lane to the days when the comic books ruled the roost by sharing anti-drugs message from that ‘era.’

Taking to Twitter on the eve of the day, the Dimapur Police ‘went’ to Riverdale and shared picture of anti-drug slogan from Archie Comics. Riverdale is a fictional American City where the most of the characters and plots of Archie Comics revolve around.

“To the times when Comic books #absolutely ruled over 'Smart Phones'. In memory of their slogans,” the official handle of Dimapur Police tweeted sharing a photo with the anti-drug slogan "Say 'No' to Drugs" from Archie and other familiar characters from the comics.

It connected with its followers. “Good sense of humour this social media contact at Dimapur police,” commented one while another said: “I swear @dimapurpolice has some uber cool personnel manning social media. Nice one. Brings back memories.”

On June 26, the Twitter handle shared pictures of several activities undertaken during the day as ‘Visual highlights of the day."
